Do you want to replace the bulb in your headlights? Werkenbijlicht has a wide range of headlights from the well-known brand Osram for your car such as the most common H4 and H7 LED headlights. LED headlights have a much higher light output compared to halogen lighting. The light color is whiter, and moreover, the lifespan is many times longer. Moreover, Osram provides a minimum of 3 years warranty on all LED replacement bulbs.
Replace H4 or H7 Halogen Bulb with LED
The LED bulbs we offer are in most cases suitable as replacements for the halogen lighting in your car. Unlike halogen lighting, there is a heatsink (prevents the lamp from overheating) on the back of the lamp. If you have a headlight with enough space, it will fit perfectly into the headlight. Replacing it is simple and can be done by anyone with basic knowledge of electronics. The most difficult part of the replacement is the limited space to work under the hood.
Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing LED Headlights
1. Remove the halogen bulb from the car's headlight. First, disconnect the contacts at the back of the bulb. The bulb is often held in place with a metal clip, which you can release by pressing the clips inward. Then the headlight comes free.
2. The Osram LED headlight comes with a separate fitting. This can be removed with a twisting motion.
3. Place the unscrewed fitting of the LED in the headlight and reattach the clip (as in step 1)
4. Then slide the LED bulb into the fitting.
5. Then twist the bulb as shown in the image below.
6. Then connect the connector. The example below concerns the H4 connection. An H7 connection has 2 connections.
Preventing Canbus Errors
Since LED lighting consumes significantly less power than traditional halogen bulbs, your car's computer detects it as a faulty bulb and subsequently issues an error message. To remedy this, we have an extensive range of canbus resistors.
If the original halogen/incandescent bulb had a consumption of 4W or 5W, then you install a 5W canbus resistor.
Originally a 21W bulb? Then you install a 21W resistor.
For a 55W headlight, you install this 50W canbus resistor.
